I'm sure you're just as busy as I am this holiday season. Hey Check it out! I just got my first iphone 4s (that goes perfectly with my Macbook Pro) and I am in Heaven!
I love QR codes and decided to try one in my blog to see how many people actually use them. So, if you have a smartphone with a QR code reader app, scan this QR code to be taken to the actual blog post with video tutorial!
Isn't technology fabulous?!!!
Wow! Lots of eye candy in one blog post huh? Hope you enjoyed this. Let me know what you think of picture tutorials, video tutorials and QR Codes. I'd love to know.
I wanted to show you lots of great Nestabling, so I created this "12 Days of Christmas" Vintage Counter.
This piece measures about 12 x 12" and would make a perfect gift. You can fill each of the 12 days with a mini photo, favorite quote, or piece of candy.
Wait until you see all beautiful colors and shapes of Nestabling. Make the jump to Want2Scrap to see this project up close and in color!!! Leave a comment and let them know I sent you.
I love to let you know about products I really love, and Want2Scrap products are high on my list! I hope you'll check them out.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I really appreciate it.
I love the idea of being grateful for what you have. It keeps you focused on the positive. I've noticed many people on facebook and blogs taking the time to write about something they are grateful for everyday for 30 days.
I decided to create a Gratitude Journal along these same lines. I created this one for the Spellbinders Blog. I'm going to add some tabs along the side for each person in our family. The girls are so excited to do this. We might even include some art journaling, sketching, etc.
Here's a video to show you how I created it!
You can find the supply list and more information on the Spellbinders Blog.!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you get to take some time to journal, sketch, text, facebook or blog what you are grateful for this Thanksgiving Season.
Calling all crafters! We've gathered designers from some of our favorite manufacturers to show you ways to create something from the heart this holiday season. This 3 day Hop includes over 60 stops with inspiration brimming from every corner. Explore all the thoughtful and frugal handmade gifts you could make for the holidays, all in one place on this Hop!
I created A Christmas Mini Printers Tray.
This 7Gypsies Printers Tray measures approximately 6 1/2" x 6 1/2". I smudged the edges of it with Colorbox Classic Pigment Ink, Cat's Eye Queue - Basic Silver.
I used Clearsnap Cat's Eye Queue - Night Sky and blended the dark and light blue tones by applying the dark blue on the top and side of the stamp, then applying the lighter blue to the rest of the stamp. It blends so beautifully.
I used Clearsnap Top Boss Watermark Ink Pad and applied it directly to Spellbinders 2001 Heirloom Ornament #4, then cut/embossed out of red cardstock by WorldWin Papers. I quickly applied embossing powder by Sparkle N' Sprinkle, and shook off the excess. I used a little paintbrush to brush off any fine grains of embossing powder. Then I heat set the powder. This creates a nice beautiful metallic edge.
The Holly Motifs cut/emboss beautifully out of white cardstock. I used the Holly Motifs die template as a stencil and applied Clearsnap gold pigment ink directly to the paper in a circular motion.
I layered all the embellished die cuts. The top Ornament was adhered with 3D Foam Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L. This gives it a nice dimension. I adhered the die cuts to the printers tray with 3D Foam Squares also.
The patterned paper is Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium. It looks so vintage, I just love it. I cut/embossed the postcard using Labels Twenty-Three. Then inked the edges with ColorBox Fluid Chalk Inkpad in Chestnut Roan.
I created die cut embellishments for each little shadow box.
I stamped the sentiment, aligned the die template around the stamp and cut/embossed, then inked the edges as well. I applied Nestabling by Want2Scrap - Petite Scalloped Circle Small in Black. I filled the shadow box with blue tulle.
Adhesive Sheets by Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L die cut beautifully. I cut the sheet using Spellbinders 2001 Heirloom Ornament #2. I peeled off the backing, which leaves the adhesive exposed. I sprinkled glitter and then pushed it into the adhesive with my fingers. I applied a bit of bling and adhered to the shadow box.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you've been inspired to create a handmade holiday gift this year.
I'd love to see what you create!
Holly

I up-cycled a mini clipboard I had and added in some recycled cardboard as well!
I love to stencil with Spellbinders die templates. They also cut craft foil beautifully.
I sanded the metal leaf die cut for a really cool distressed look. I also applied Tattered Angels Chandelier Glimmer Glam to add a nice sparkle to the cardboard. I think I could just bathe in that stuff. It is my absolute favorite!!

I absolutely adore Monogram projects. They make fabulous Teacher Gifts, House Warming Gifts, Baby Shower Presents, etc.....and are great for people of all ages.
I have had this project in my head for several weeks now, but was still trying to figure out the colors, and how to get it to look how it did in my head! LOL
Here's a sneak peek of my Framed Button Monogram.

Here is a Teacher Monogram Gift I made that you might recognize from a previous post.
This one was made with crayons!
Both projects were created using Spellbinders die templates.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Enjoy your Labor Day Weekend!
I just adore the colors cream, brown and black together. I keep seeing this color scheme with burlap and canvas....just lovely. I also see it used a lot on my favorite new website Pinterest! You can follow me, my pins and boards on Pinterest! It has become an source of stress relief for me. All the inspiration and ideas, neatly organized right where I put them. Love that!
This is one of my favorite cards I have created. I love the vintage feel, and that it actually turned out how I envisioned it in my head. I typically use a lot of earthly colors, so limiting myself to just a few is difficult for me. LOL!
I can't seem to get enough of Tattered Angels Chandelier Glimmer Glam. My oh my that stuff is so awesome!! Paint it on resist paper and it's fabulous!!
JustRite Stamps are a wonderful compliment to Spellbinders die templates. They fit so perfectly in the them.
This card was a project I created for the Spellbinders, along with a tutorial over on their blog. Make sure to hop on over to the Spellbinders Paper Arts Blog! It's all new!!

I’m thrilled to share two projects using LF-006 Wonderful Wings and S5-066 Shadow Flowers with you...
Butterflies are such a huge trend right now, this gate folded Butterfly Card is perfect for all occasions!
LF-006 Wonderful Wings and S5-066 Shadow Flowers are part of the Donna Salazar Designer Collection! I pretty much love any design she comes up with.
Supplies include:
Spellbinders Paper Arts ~The Grand Calibur (TM) Machine, LF-006 Wonderful Wings and S5-066 Shadow Flowers
Graphic 45 - Le Cirque Collection, On the Boardwalk Collection, Renaissance Faire Collection
Begin by cutting a piece of kraft colored cardstock to 12 x 6 3/4". Score vertically at 3" mark and 9" mark. Fold the two panels towards the middle of the card to create the gate fold. Adhere white grid paper to the front of each panel.
Cut/emboss S5-066 Shadow Flowers using the Grand Calibur Machine, out of dark and light shades of grey and green cardstock. Adhere the Shadow Flowers to each panel. I put the tallest Shadow Flowers on the left and the shorter ones on the right panel to help draw the eye.
Stamp your favorite sentiment on the right panel as shown above. Open the card and stamp a coordinating sentiment on the inside of the card.
Choose a coordinating patterned paper and colored cardstock. Cut/emboss three Butterflies as shown above. I like to mix the cardstock on top for one, and the patterned paper on top for another.
Adhere the Butterflies by applying a line of Zip Dry glue on the backside, and down the center of the top Butterfly. Carefully center and adhere to the bottom Butterfly. Allow to dry. Then, bend the winds of the top Butterfly up. You can also curl the wings just a bit for more dimension.
Adhere the black crystal swirls to each corner as shown above. That's all there is to it! Lots of layers and dimension and oh so easy to create. I had so much fun creating this card!
