A Halloween Mini Album Full of Treats!

I adore making mini albums.  I love to layer, fill, embellish, glimmer glam, die cut, stamp and pretty much make it chunky and full of stuff just spilling out of them. LOL!

Here's a Halloween Mini Album inspired by the Magic of Oz Graphic 45 papers.

I created this for the Spellbinders Blog.  Graphic 45 creates incredible paper full of gorgeous large and small graphics.  It's very sturdy double sided cardstock and I just love every collection they create.  It makes quick work of a mini album when you use double sided paper.

Spellbinders Spiral Blossom Two was used to create this flower.  Then I painted with Chandelier Glimmer Glam.  I love the extra sparkle it creates.  You can paint it on anything!

Here are all the pages I created.  I die cut each one using Spellbinders Postage Stamps.  A full tutorial is available on the Spellbinders Blog.  I made sure to leave some room for Halloween pictures and journaling.

I am off to enjoy the last day of the Indian Summer here in Wyoming.  It's going to get up to 65, but Tuesday brings a high of 39 and several inches of snow along with it.  Headed out for a hike and to look at the colorful turning trees.

I was fortunate enough to be on their Design Team in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010, then I became a Spellbinders Blog Author in 2010 and now I'm a Spellblogger!

I started my journey with Spellbinders in 2006, along with my sister Diana Dellos.

We had so much freaking fun at the Design Team Retreat!!  We spent the night at Stacey Caron's house, laughed, drank wine, told stories and watched the gorgeous Arizona sunset go down.  I just had to share some pics of the good ole' days back when I got the privilage of working as a designer with Spellbinders! 

Here's the scene in the warehouse.  We all got lots of goodies, a brand new Wizard that Stacey had signed, and we learned tons of techniques.  It was like a dream come true.  Still is actually.

Stacey taught us all the tips and tricks.  She told us the story of how she got started and her fabulous husband who supported her dream.

We went to Stacey and Jeff's home in the evenings.  We helped Stacey celebrate a milestone birthday.  All of us dressed in black! lol

You know girls, we like to play dress up....Here I am with Kim Hupke and my sister Diana. Diana and I are Cowgirls of course!

Here we are outside the Spellbinders Office and Warehouse.  We were having so much fun, we had to do a cheesey shot of the girls on the car.

My lovely sister Diana decided to have some Photoshop fun.  Notice anything different about Diana's t-shirt, anything a bit more ample?  Yes, my sister photoshoped my cleaveage onto her, and then mass emailed it out to everyone we know. (well ok, not everyone) LOL!

 

Ahhhh - no better way to relax then by the water, a palm tree and the sunset.  This is Beth and I chillin'.

Thanks for letting me share of my oldy, but goody pictures.  I have had the time of my life with this company, and hope there are many more years to come.

Harvest Card

I created a Harvest Card for the blog hop.  Unity Stamps and Spellbinders die templates work perfectly together.  They align so precisely, you are sure to get a perfect outline of the stamp every time you use the matching die template.

To begin, I coated the cardstock and manilla tag in two different shades of Glimmer Glam.  I used metal foil and glitter embossing powders as well, for a shimmering festive feel.

I love all the possibilities you can create when you can combine matching die templates and stamps!

 I love die cutting metal foil and using a Grand Impressability to create added embossed texture.

I also used embossing powder on the Maple Leaf and Pear stamped die cuts for extra dimension and sparkle.  You can see how lovely Spellbinders Edgeabilities create an elegant edge to the bottom of the card, and the end of the manilla tag.

I chose Walnut Hallow Spring and Summer Paint System, which includes:  Inchworm Chalkboard Mist, Rum Punch Glimmer Mist, Mermaid Glimmer Glam, Orange Crush Glimmer Glaze - These colors are perfect for creating anytime of the year really.

Although these are spring and summer colors, I wanted to show you how to use them for a Fall Ensemble!

I created a Card, Wine Bag and Wooden Box all using Walnut Hallow Spring and Summer Paint System.   I also the Tattered Angels Tree Stamp, which I absolutely love!

 

I like to use old book pages, stamp on them, glimmer mist, glimmer glam, glimmer glaze, blend colors, drag the edges through the puddles.  It's so fun to try new colors and textures!

A wooden box is so much fun to paint.  The Glimmer really almost floats on top and leaves such a gorgeous shimmer.  Walnut Hallow really makes some fabulous wooden items.

I used Inchworm Chalkboard Glimmer Mist on a kraft colored Wine Bag.  I created the flower with Spiral Blossom by Spellbinders.  The tree stamp is heat embossed with embossing powder.  I also stitched on the book page.

Tattered Angels Announcements!

Lots of wonderful things happening over at Tattered Angels!

 

First off, Tattered Angels is looking for great designers for their Design Team!  Starting Oct 15th and running until November 15th.  Make sure to stop by the Tattered Angels website for all the details!

I can hardly believe my Design Team Term is almost up with Tattered Angels.  I have loved every second of it.  

 I have learned so much from Wendy, Nat and all the other members of the Design Team and Education Team.  I can't begin to thank them enough.  It's been an incredible journey!

They have allowed me to always create with freedom and design whatever my heart desired, pure eye candy without limits.  It has truly been an amazing artistic experience.

I'm so grateful for the opportunity!  These collages were all projects I created using Tattered Angels paints.  It's amazing how much art you create when you work with products you truly love.

A Quick Halloween Card

If you've been following my blog for any length of time, you know that "quick" is not necessarily in my bag of tools.  I love to add layers, details and dimension.  However, my time is valuable and I find that being able to make a quick card that still is full of details and layers is actually very simple to do.

This card seriously only took me about 20-25 minutes to create.  Can you believe it?  The trick is a few layers, some really fun patterned paper, bling, ribbon and a stamped sentiment.  Easy peasy.
