My assignment this week for the Spellbinders Blog was to create a Mother's Day Layout. So, I decided to ask my sweet hubby to take a photo of the me and my darling girls.
He did good didn't he? I cropped it a bit, and make it black and white with a faded border around the edge, but he captured us with smiles, froggie pajama's and all. I love it. So, it became my inspiration for the layout.
I actually die cut my photograph, which give its a nice embossed edge. I also used my sewing machine to stitch around the layout and the background strip. I like how the stitching and buttons compliment each other.
Supplies include: Spellbinders (TM) die template~ LF-168 Grand Large Labels, Grand Calibur, S5-052 Creative Page Tabs and S4-322 Grommet Tags; Black Swirl Ribbon and Black Mini Brads by Creative Impressions; Black and White Buttons by Buttons Galore and More; Bubblegum Hills Patterned Paper by KaiserCraft; Fluid Chalk Ink in Creamy Brown by Clearsnap; Lace Heart stamp set by Flourishes; and Spellbinders Accents Stamps by StampingScrappingâ„¢.
Of course you can find a step shot tutorial on the Spellbinders Blog. Please stop on over and leave a comment when you get a chance.
