Spellbinders Nestabilities Book - Guess Who's on the Cover!

I am so excited!!!  I created this baby ensemble for the new Spellbinders Nestabilities book and can you believe it....it's on the cover!

 
You just never know when you submit a project for a book call, if it will get pickedup. Then to learn it's on the cover is just over the top!

Spellbinders Holiday Hoppin' ~ Grand Nestabilities Calendar!

Welcome to the first day of the Spellbinders™ Paper Arts Holiday Hoppin’ Blog Hop!  Spellbinders, along with Spellbinders are showcasing their newest products just in time for your Holiday crafting and gift giving.  Lots of creative ideas are in store, as well as prizes galore!  Each participating company has generously donated towards the prize package listed on the Spellbinders Blog.

I created a 2011 Calendar made entirely out of die cuts!  I absolutely love all the Grand Nestabilities that allow you to create so many home decor projects.

 

These die templates are an excellent value.  The Grand Nestabilities retail for $49.99; making them about $8.00 per die template!  Very reasonable for an invaluable tool that can be used again and again.

Altering wood with Tattered Angels products!

I'm so excited for my first Tattered Angels blog post!  Our theme this month is using Tattered Angels products to alter wood.  I have 3 Projects to share with you today!

Paris Box:

 
I bought this wooden box at Hobby Lobby.  I liked it ok, but it really needed some personality.  I used Tattered Angels Regal Accent Stamp with white embossing powder.  The embossing powder works like a resist!

I misted and painted the wooden box with my current favorite colors of Glimmer Mist:  Apple, Dragonfly, Pomegranate.  I also added some Bordeaux Glimmer Glam to a few corners. of the box.

  

I used S4-298 Antiquities Spellbinders die template.  I applied several layers of Bordeaux Glimmer Glam to the Fleur de Lis die cut and the buttons.

 Layout:

 

I used Sugar Maple Glimmer Mist on the wooden tree branches and buds.  The trick is to dry them with a heat gun or let them sit in a puddle of Glimmer Mist overnight, to really get them coated nicely.

Other supplies include: Apple Glimmer Mist and Evergreen Chalkboard Mist, Chandelier Glimmer Glam, Heidi Swapp (Mist)-A-Bles Crepe Paper Ribbon, Heidi Swapp Ir-resist-ible Alphas, Heidi Swapp Va Va Victorian Irresistable Chips.

I used Granite  and Midnight Blue Glimmer Mist, as well as Platinum Glimmer Glaze on this wooden spoon.  I also used those same products to alter pine cones!

Huge Announcement! Tattered Angels DT!

Guess who has Glimmer Wings?  ME!!!!  Can you believe it?  It seriously took me several days until it really soaked in for me!  Now it's actually listed on Tattered Angels blog, so it must be real right? LOL

I am actually a Tattered Angels Design Team Member!

Here's an altered platter I created for Tattered Angels.  It was part of my submission art.  I used old photo's of my husbands Nana and Papa.  My husband Aaron comes from a large Italian family, who love to cook.   (I love that about him).

 

Did you know that Glimmer Mist would work on metal?  Fabulous huh?

Dragonfly Glimmer Mist also looks great on flocked patterned paper, vintage sheet music and beautifully alters white ribbon roses.  I also created a large flower by die cutting old book pages using Spellbinders die templates.  I layered and squished the die cuts and Glimmer Misted them. I held it all together with a brad.
