I created a JustRite Garden Journal to share with you on Day 1 of the JustRite 3 day Mega March Blog Hop!
I live in Wyoming, where spring feels like summer, after we've had a long cold winter. I've finished up my spring cleaning and am ready to begin planning my flower garden! This Garden Journal is perfect for loading with seed packets, pictures, diagrams and notes.

Creating My Garden Journal:
Planning: I chose my favorite JustRite stamp set - My Garden Borders and Centers 3 1/4" Set, and planned the entire journal around this fabulous stamp set!
I purchased a 6"x8" ring bound journal. I pulled the rings apart a bit so that I could take the entire journal apart. I sectioned out the paper and planned where I wanted my dividers to go. I decided on the titles for each divider. I gathered my Copic sketch markers and Spica pens, grouped them according to colors that were harmonious.
Building: I sprayed several coats of Glimmer Mist in Pashmina and Tattered Leather to achieve the look I wanted, then set aside to dry. I trimmed 3 colors of cardstock to fit inside my journal as dividers. Then I lightly misted 4 smaller pieces of Core'dinations red core color cardstock with the Spellbinders floral Impressability (TM), then ran it through my Wizard (TM).
I layered the papers as shown on the cover and for each divider. I stamped each image, with black ink, from the JustRite My Garden Borders and Centers 3 1/4" Set as shown above, on white cardstock. I mixed some of the borders with the centers for my own unique variation of the stamps. Don't you just love that you can do that with JustRite stamps? I colored each image with Copic Sketch Markers and Spica glitter pens.
Here's a close up of the stamp I used on the cover. You can see in greater detail how the marker and glitter really accentuates the gorgeous stamp. You can also see the height that layering die cuts creates.
Each Garden Journal divider has a specific stamped image, color scheme and title.
The vine border was used on each title as well as JustRite Special Occasions Font. The entire journal was re-assembled and bound together with a Zutter Bind It All machine.
