You often see my paper crafting and mixed media creations on my blog. But, today I wanted to share some photo's I took of Wild and Wonderful Wyoming.
This was taken of Vedauwoo. Known to the Arapaho Indians as “Land of the Earthborn Spirit,” the rock formations of Vedauwoo (pronounced vee-da-voo) attract experienced climbers, campers and hikers. This area is conveniently located off Interstate 80 between Cheyenne and Laramie (exit 329) and for westbound travelers is their first introduction to the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest and its more than two million acres of public lands.
This is one of my favorite photo's of the Wild Horses in Wyoming. I took this today on the way from Lander, Wy back home to Rawlins. You just never know where you will see a small herd or even a couple of the wild horses. It is such an amazing experience to see them.
I found this video by the Wyoming Tourism Department. They have some great close up shots of these amazing animals.
I hope you've enjoyed a glimpse into my Wild Wyoming World. Thanks for stopping by Wild Wyoming Art Cafe' today.
I have seen variations of this idea and decided to try my hand at a Mini Paper Cake. My girls and I love to watch old episodes of TLC's Cake Boss. That man is so creative!
I can see this filled full of chocolate and becoming part of a party tablescape, a party favor or just a little addition to decorations.

PS - I just added a VIDEO page to my blog. (notice the word VIDEO above my profile picture) This is where you can find all my videos!
I' always trying to improve my videos. I'd love to know what you like to see and learn when you watch a video, do you want a full project or just a technique, do you only watch short videos or do like them longer, how do you feel about the camera angle when it shows just my hands?
I'm sure you're just as busy as I am this holiday season. Hey Check it out! I just got my first iphone 4s (that goes perfectly with my Macbook Pro) and I am in Heaven!
I love QR codes and decided to try one in my blog to see how many people actually use them. So, if you have a smartphone with a QR code reader app, scan this QR code to be taken to the actual blog post with video tutorial!
Isn't technology fabulous?!!!
Wow! Lots of eye candy in one blog post huh? Hope you enjoyed this. Let me know what you think of picture tutorials, video tutorials and QR Codes. I'd love to know.
I have had this felt stocking in my head for several months, and I have to say I just love it when something in my head, actually turns out like I wanted it to! LOL
I created a Christmas stocking out of wool felt. I found this amazing woman who has amazing wool felt. It is the most beautiful, high quality wool felt you will ever see. The selection is incredible, any color you could ever imagine in 8 x12" sheets! Please take the time to hop on over to Felt On The Fly Blog and Felt On The Fly Etsy. Spellbinders die templates cut wool felt beautifully...just like butter baby!
Here's a quick video tutorial to show you how to create your own felt Christmas Stocking.
(Try to ignore the Snoopy bandaid, cutting tomato's can require a trip to the ER if you're not careful! lol)
Be sure to visit the Spellbinders Blog to see all the details, and leave a comment there for a chance to win ALL SIX EDGEABILITIES SETS!!!
Here are a few pictures showing you how I created that fabulous little box I put in my stocking.
I love the large cutting and embossing plates that come with Spellbinders Grand Calibur Machine. You can cut all the dies at once, then emboss all the dies at once.
The box will have embossed areas that make it really easy to see exactly where you will fold the box. The pictures above show you step by step how to put this box together. Use the die templates as a stencil and apply fluid chalk ink for added detail. Attach the die cuts to the sides of the box, and adhere the tag to the top.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am thankful for many things, one of them is for you, my blog readers. I always love to read your comments and am so glad you take the time to stop by!
I love the idea of being grateful for what you have. It keeps you focused on the positive. I've noticed many people on facebook and blogs taking the time to write about something they are grateful for everyday for 30 days.
I decided to create a Gratitude Journal along these same lines. I created this one for the Spellbinders Blog. I'm going to add some tabs along the side for each person in our family. The girls are so excited to do this. We might even include some art journaling, sketching, etc.
Here's a video to show you how I created it!
You can find the supply list and more information on the Spellbinders Blog.!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you get to take some time to journal, sketch, text, facebook or blog what you are grateful for this Thanksgiving Season.
All this week designers for Spellbinders and Core'dinations will be presenting the unique qualities of our products and showing how they work together for divine die cut designs!
I created a Mixed Media Journal for the Blog Swap. I absolutely love altering composition notebooks. They are so quick and easy, and really make a unique gift. I use them for gifts, and often find myself using them for scrapbook ideas, blog post ideas, etc. I tape ideas, write notes and draw sketches in them.
Spellbinders is offering TWO winners, drawn from the comments left on the participating Designer's blogs, each a $24.99 value die template of their choice. Winners will be chosen randomly at the end of the week. Core'dinations will be giving away prizes too so be sure to visit their Scrapbook Blog for details.
Stop by each Designer Blog and leave a comment to enter to win! We will randomly draw winners at the end of the week from all the comments posted on the designers blogs.
Have fun and good luck!
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Hugs
Holly

I’m thrilled to share two projects using LF-006 Wonderful Wings and S5-066 Shadow Flowers with you...
Butterflies are such a huge trend right now, this gate folded Butterfly Card is perfect for all occasions!
LF-006 Wonderful Wings and S5-066 Shadow Flowers are part of the Donna Salazar Designer Collection! I pretty much love any design she comes up with.
Supplies include:
Spellbinders Paper Arts ~The Grand Calibur (TM) Machine, LF-006 Wonderful Wings and S5-066 Shadow Flowers
Graphic 45 - Le Cirque Collection, On the Boardwalk Collection, Renaissance Faire Collection
Begin by cutting a piece of kraft colored cardstock to 12 x 6 3/4". Score vertically at 3" mark and 9" mark. Fold the two panels towards the middle of the card to create the gate fold. Adhere white grid paper to the front of each panel.
Cut/emboss S5-066 Shadow Flowers using the Grand Calibur Machine, out of dark and light shades of grey and green cardstock. Adhere the Shadow Flowers to each panel. I put the tallest Shadow Flowers on the left and the shorter ones on the right panel to help draw the eye.
Stamp your favorite sentiment on the right panel as shown above. Open the card and stamp a coordinating sentiment on the inside of the card.
Choose a coordinating patterned paper and colored cardstock. Cut/emboss three Butterflies as shown above. I like to mix the cardstock on top for one, and the patterned paper on top for another.
Adhere the Butterflies by applying a line of Zip Dry glue on the backside, and down the center of the top Butterfly. Carefully center and adhere to the bottom Butterfly. Allow to dry. Then, bend the winds of the top Butterfly up. You can also curl the wings just a bit for more dimension.
Adhere the black crystal swirls to each corner as shown above. That's all there is to it! Lots of layers and dimension and oh so easy to create. I had so much fun creating this card!
