The Holidays are drawing near (or Holly-Days as I like to call them! lol) It brings to mind so many fun times playing board games at my Grandma Theresa's, learning how to make her favorite recipes, drinking holiday drinks such as as eggnog, and trying to organize our house to make room for all the holiday decorations. This month, the Tattered Angels Design Team will be showing you projects that bring to mind family holiday memories and traditions.
Christmas stockings are a big tradition in my family. I can remember a stitched and sequined Stocking my Great Grandmother made for me when I was very young. My Grandma Theresa always had long red felt stockings with our names on them at her house. They are memories I cherish always.
I created this Christmas Stocking with memories of Wyoming Christmases in mind. I began with a Canvas Corp Canvas Stocking. This is the little Canvas Stocking. It is so adorable and so easy to mist, paint, stamp, stitch and alter.
I tied ribbon and twine around the stocking. Next I cut and embossed Spellbinders Stars Five out of premium craft foil and then embossed it using Spellbinders M-Bossabilities (R) . I cut and embossed the Star out of Canvas Corp corrugated cardboard, then pained with Plain Jane Red Stained Glass. I cut and embossed the smallest Star out of Canvas Corp striped paper and painted it with Chandelier Glimmer Glam. Then tied these to the twine and added a few stick pins for detail.
I hope you enjoyed the tutorial for this super quick and easy Canvas Christmas Stocking! Check the Tattered Angels Blog Today for my project, and every day this month for even more fabulous projects from the Tattered Angels Design Team!
