This is a layout I did about my 14 year old Siberian Husky - name Klondyke. He's really the first pet I've ever had. He's been in my family longer than my husband, and 2 girls. He is 89 in husky years (I found a cool website that lets you calculate years based on breed).
To make a long story short....he's dying. He's been sick and in and out of the vet office, and they have finally diagnosed what the problem is. He has a 2" cancerous tumor on his heart. It bleeds out, and fills the space between his heart and the pericardium with blood. He had an "episode" yesterday where he howled and cried and then fell over right in front of my husband, who was home with him at the time. My husband was sure he had died. He scooped him up in his arms, took him to the vet, and I met him there. This was when they diagnosed him. They gave him more steroids and vitamin k......
......and he rallied. We brought him home and his is snuggled on a blanket. We're all glad that he is home, but we know our time is limited. Maybe a month at best.
This dog is one of the most strong willed, independent, stubborn, forceful dogs you will ever come across. As my sister said....he's not going out without at fight.
