Halloween is one my favorite holidays. I love to take pictures of spooky things. This gate is one of my favorites. I try and take my camera with me on walks and couldn't help but shoot some pictures of this old wrought iron gate.
My girls are soooo into dancing right now, so they created their own kitty costumes. We ordered the long flowing tutu's online and they look so beautiful.
Only 7 days left until Halloween! Hope you're having fun carving pumpkins, creating costumes and listening to spooky movies!

Spellbinders and Tattered Angels have come together for a blog hop!
I'm a scrapbooker at heart, so I created a layout for the blog hop event.
Aaron and I were married 10 years this past June. We decided to wait until the fall and go back to place we were married - Yellowstone National Park. (It's kind of a Wyoming secrect that there are hardly any tourists in late September - sshhh ;) We stayed at the Old Faithful Inn for a few of the nights, and had an entire week all to ourselves...no work, no kids (and I really love my kids), just us....it was so romantic and so peaceful.
Ok, enough of the mushy stuff...and on to the layout details....
The metal die cut:
I loved using the Tattered Angels Glimmer Screen Decorative Corners with Spellbinders die templates. The photo shows how I created the look. Use a typical embossing sandwich with the Glimmer Screen on the bottom.
Here are the steps: 1st -use S4-190 Labels Four (or your favorite nestability die template) and cut the shape out of metal foil using your Wizard. 2nd - place the Glimmer Screen on the white mat (I used the black paper under the screen so it would photograph better) then place the die, with the metal foil in it, on top of the screen. Next place the embossing mat, and the other white mat on top. Run it through the Wizard.
Embellishments:
I used limited edition Glimmer Mist colors jack-o-lantern and pashmina to dye 2 strips of white ribbon. I used pashmina mist on the tree branch also (the secret is to let parts of the branch sit in a puddle of glimmer mist overnight). I sprayed layers of various colors of Glimmer Mist on the fabric flower. Then I decided to create my own custom color of Flower Soft (the center of the large flower) by putting white flower soft into a container, spraying 2 colors of glimmer mist and allowing to dry.
Altered Paper:
I lightly sprayed a piece of 12"x12" white card stock with 2 colors of glimmer mist. Then used all 3 of the screens to stamp the glimmer mist onto the card stock.
Next, I tore 4 pages out of an old book, and experimented with ways to alter them. I lightly sprayed glimmer mist onto two of the screens and stamped them onto the 1st page. I embossed the screens on the 2nd and 4th pages using the Wizard and the embossing mat, then sprayed glimmer mist on the pages to add even more dimension. The 3rd page was created by applying white acrylic paint onto the glimmer screen, then stamping it onto the page. When dry, I sprayed glimmer mist over the page.
I hope you enjoyed the layout! I appreciate any comments you feel like sharing.
Be sure to check out Julie Overby's post from a few days ago, and Kazan Clark's post coming up on Saturday.

I decided I wanted to alter a wallet to go in my new awesome Paris purse my sister made for me. I'll be posting that in a few days. :)
I gathered some of my favorite supplies: Spellbinders die templates, JustRite Font stamps, Tim Holtz stamp by Stampers Anonymous and fabric flowers by Heidi Swapp.
I started wih an $8 white clam shell vinyl wallet. It was a bit scratched and dirty, so I just knew I had to alter it somehow. I started by thinking about the theme....it needed to go with a French or Paris theme to go inside my new purse. I also needed to alter the vinyl with something....but what.....I decided I would use my totally cool COPIC Markers!
I used 3 Copic Markers to color the white vinyl, taking are to try and overlap and blend the colors as best as I could. Sometime I let the colors set for a few minutes and then applied another layer. Once had the look I wanted. I used a script word stamp with StazOn black ink and stamped on the right 2/3 of the wallet. Then I sprayed a clear matte finish sealer over the entire wallet and let that dry overnight.
Next I got out those Ginormous fabric flowers by Heidi Swapp. I love the white one's, as they are so easy to alter! I used the previous 3 colors of Copic Markers and added the 4th color. I altered one white flower with the pink and orange color, making sure that the dark pink was the center and the orange was on the tips, and they were blended mid way down the petal. I used the same procedure for the dark purple and light purple, which you can see in the above picture. The Copics worked fabulous on these fabric flowers.
Next I got out 3 colors of StazOn ink and my gorgeous Tim Holtz stamp by Stampers Anonymous. As you can see in the above picture. I applied all three colors of StazOn to the stamp. It gives it a blended look.
First Turn the stamp over, take the lids off the Staz On and ink left hand lower corner with the blue, the middle of the tower in purple and add a smidge of blue on the postage stamp, then use the black n the right hand side of the stamp. Work quickly so the Staz On doesn't dry completely.
I used StazOn because I stamped my image on a piece of vinyl typed paper.
I decided to cut out the stamped image using my Spellbinders die template and my Wizard die cut machine.
Notice how I placed the stamped image face up. Then I placed the die with the cut edges face down on top of the stamped image and was careful to line it up exactly how I wanted it. You can always use a piece of re-positional tape to hold the die in place. Next layer the magnetic spacer place and the other white mat. Then run it through your Wizard.
I adhered the layered flowers, stamped image and bling with E6000 industrial strength glue. I love the stuff and use it all the time. I also stamped and die cut my monogram "H" with JustRite font Times New Roman in 95pt. I love their monogram sets. They are fabulouso!

"Simoni Boo Book" - Altred Mini Album
I created a "Simoni Boo Book" for Halloween to showcase all the waysI love to use JustRite Font Stamps!
I also used Spellbinders Die Templates, The Robin's Nest patterned paper, a background stamp by Tim Holtz from Stampers Anonymous, and Gimmer Mist by Tattered Angels.
Font Technique: Cover - I used the Limited Edition "Witch Way to the Treats" JustRite Stamp set along with the Times New Roman Font in 25pt. I used embossing ink and glacier white fine embossing powder on black paper to really get the title to pop. I also touched up the edges with white acrylic paint.
Font Technique: Left Page - I used the Special Occasions Font in 25pt and applied white acrylic paint with a foam brush, then stamped on a photograph. (I also used the Limited Edition "Witch Way to the Treats" stamp set).
Font Technique: Right Page - I lined up Brayton Font in 95pt, and backed each letter with another Brayton letter, put a piece of metal foil over it, then ran it through the Spellbinders Wizard using 2 blue mats and 2 embossing mats. It gives a deep debossing affect and looks really cool!
Font Technique: Left Page - Use the large Horizontal wooden block and stagger 90pt Times New Roman in a diagonal form as shown, then add other words in various fonts and pt sizes. Ink with Clearsnap fluid chalk ink the cat eye's work great for this. That way you can use two different colors of ink.
Pages 5 & 6:
Font Technique: Left Page - Use Brayton Font and stamp the word PUNCH using horizontal wooden stamper. Then spell the word "Vampire" Vertical Wooden Stamper. Don't apply ink to the letter "P". Carefully line up the leter "P" and stamp. Cut out around the stamped words and ink the edges. (Check out the Creepy limited edition stamp set)
Font Technique: Right Page - Use the Damask Borders Deluxe Kit, and the Times New Roman 95pt Font. I used an "S" for the Simoni Monogram.
The back page has a filament string through the center of the monogram side and the back side panel. This way the panel can spin 360 degrees within the frame. You can see the progression in the 3 photo's above.
I hope you've enjoyed the mini album and all the fun JustRite Font Techniques!!
